How do I install an iDatastart remote starter?
Remote starters are extremely complicated devices that require proper integration of various hardware, software, and firmware components into your vehicle. Thus, we highly recommend that all installations are performed by a trained, authorized dealer listed on our Dealer Locator. Your nearby authorized iDatastart dealer will be able to provide you the service that you and your vehicle deserve. Contact your nearby dealer today!
How do I "flash" my iDatastart control module?
1. Register a Weblink account. 2. Connect your module to your PC using the Weblink Updater cable or a mini USB cable. 3. Click on ‘Flash your module’ on the top right corner of the web page and log in. 4. Select an option from the flashing menu and follow the on-screen steps.
What is "flashing"?
"Flashing" is a process of updating and loading firmware onto hardware to optimize its performance for specific or general applications. In the case of iDatastart products, "flashing" generally involves loading vehicle-specific firmware that allows our systems to seamless integrate with your vehicle's internal computer.

What is the warranty on iDatastart products?
All ADS products are covered by a limited 1-year warranty from date of first purchase against defects in material and workmanship. The full period of warranty will not extend past 18 months from the original date of manufacturing. This warranty does not apply if, in the judgment of ADS, the product fails due to damage from handling, storage, accident, abuse or misuse, or if it has been used or maintained in a manner not conforming to product's instructions or has been modified in any way. Repair by anyone other than ADS or an approved agent voids this warranty. In the United States, warranty exchanges, returns, and replacements are fulfilled by Firstech, LLC.
