iDatastart Warranty Policy

All ADS products are covered by a limited 1-year warranty from date of first purchase against defects in material and workmanship. The full period of warranty will not extend past 18 months from the original date of manufacturing. This warranty does not apply if, in the judgment of ADS, the product fails due to damage from handling, storage, accident, abuse or misuse, or if it has been used or maintained in a manner not conforming to product’s instructions or has been modified in any way. Repair by anyone other than ADS or an approved agent voids this warranty.

Online Sales Policy

We at Automotive Data Solutions, Inc. (ADS) sell our products — including Maestro, iDatastart, and iDatalink — through “Authorized Retailers” which we define as companies that purchase our products directly from us or from one of our approved distributors.

The online selling of any ADS-branded products is not authorized from ANY online retailer except Crutchfield.com or Crutchfield.ca. Products not sold by “Authorized Retailers” are therefore ineligible for technical support and are not covered by our warranty. These include, but are not limited to, ADS products sold on Amazon, eBay, Newegg, and Walmart.

Before buying an ADS-branded product online, check with the seller to ensure you will have adequate after-sale service and support. Buying ADS products from an unauthorized reseller may leave you without any form of technical support, guarantee or warranty.
